Imagine taking the time & creative energy to design a piece of artwork: a painting. A drawing. A piece of clothing. A post or blog. A well thought out meal plan or budget spreadsheet … A beautiful cake ? A car? The interior or exterior design of a house ?! How would it make you feel if the receiver of that design work treated it like crap? Neglected to care for it, disregarded the value, misread the intention, didn’t appreciate it?
Now think of your body. Your self. Your mind and emotions, personality, and energy.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
Psalms 139:13-16 NIV
Your body is God's Holy Temple - His dwelling place. Wow.
How do you think God feels every time you neglect to care for the home he designed for YOU?
Treated it like crap by feeding it trash. Neglected to nurture it by malnourishment. Misunderstood the depth of design and abused it … let somebody else abuse it? Talked or thought negatively about your SELF.
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,”
1 Corinthians 6:19 ESV
May I be just a voice of truth amidst the distractions and deceit to remind you :
You carry the essence of the most high creator God inside of YOU. He has designed and crafted every part of you and loves you. No matter how you neglected to value that in the past, and no matter what thoughts you may be poisoning yourself with / allowing others to poison your essence with / now …
It is ever too late to step back and make a change.
Speak love to yourself and gratitude over your temple (God’s temple) because it is your home for now. Protect your home just like you would your own earthly house. Don’t let negativity, toxicity, jealousy, unhealthy substances, un-holy spirits, bitterness, or neglect into that home. Regularly clean our your home just like you would clean the house in which you live.
